Update 1/15:
I was going to post some of my Valentine's goodies, but unfortunately I've got a sick little boy on my hands. Today is Timmy's birthday and sadly he has got Strep throat!! What a way to spend your 7th birthday!! :(
I'll be back next week! Have a nice weekend everyone!!!

Oh my gosh!! Have you all heard the news?

They're doing away with Country Home!!!
Noooooooo!!!! I grew up on Country Home!! My mom was always a faithful subscriber. She still has stacks of them in her garage dating back to the early eighties.
Along with her Country Living mags, I would sit and read them over and over, absorbing the beautiful homes for hours. I swear they helped shape me into the person I am today. I still remember an ad from long ago with a little girl in different pastel colored tutus. I can still see that so vividly as one of my first memories and I think my love for all things pink was born that day.
I grew to love decorating, crafting, antiques, and all things home related through those magazines and my sweet mom.

I cannot believe they are getting rid of all the good ones! Cottage Living and ME Home Companion are gone too :( It is heartbreaking!

isnt that sad!! and mary englebriets home companion as well!!
Awww that's sad indeed. I'm always sad when things I grew up with- either close or end and no longer exist for my children to experience (if that makes sense). Thanks for stopping by my blog with such sweet comments:)

Poor little guy! I had strep when I was about that age- no fun at all! And on his birthday, too? Hope he is feeling better very soon! So sad so many wonderful magazines are disappearing, isn't it?

I know it is so sad about Country Home. I hope your little guy is feeling better. I have a 7 year old too, they would probably love to play while we make pretty things... too bad we live so far. :((
